Sarah Hilliard, DVM
Owner, Veterinarian
My passion for veterinary medicine comes from a love of science, problem-solving, and the incredible bond between pets and the people who love them. Over the past 18 years, I’ve had the opportunity to work across specialty medicine, general practice, industry, and hospital leadership—experiences that have shaped my approach to compassionate, relationship-centered care.
I have a special interest in internal medicine and geriatric care, and I find great fulfillment in helping families navigate complex medical conditions while supporting their pets through every stage of life. I believe great veterinary care is built on trust, communication, and a partnership between the veterinary team and the families we serve.
Having experienced burnout earlier in my career, I’m also passionate about supporting mental health and wellbeing within the veterinary profession and creating a culture where veterinary teams can thrive.
What I love most about being a veterinarian is the opportunity to build lasting relationships with pets and their families and to be there for the moments—both big and small—that make the human-animal bond so special.
At home, I share my life with my husband and our two dogs: Sagan, our distinguished hound dog, and GRiZwold, our playful Golden Retriever who keeps us laughing every day.
